"You must dare to disassociate yourself from those who would delay your journey... Leave, depart, if not physically, then mentally. Go your own way, quietly, undramatically, and venture toward trueness at last."

Contracts in Relationships.

We all have contracts with those we invest emotional time with. The ability to fulfill that contract is the understanding of what its purpose is. This is why we have some relationships that blossom while others fail.

To understand our contracts better, we must know what it is we admire and respect from that individual. In turn, we must be aware of what they admire or respect from us.

In relationships where there is lack of admiration or respect the contract has no benefit or purpose to those involved. The relationship ceases to exist or is forced and uncomfortable.

"You have succeeded in life when all you really want is only what you really need."

"The moment we begin to fear the opinions of others and hesitate to tell the truth that is in us, and from motives of policy are silent when we should speak, the divine floods of light and life no longer flow into our souls. "

- Elizabeth Cady Stanton

"Living apart and at peace with myself, I came to realize more vividly the meaning of the doctrine of acceptance. To refrain from giving advice, to refrain from meddling in the affairs of others, to refrain, even though the motives be the highest, from tampering with another's way of life - so simple, yet so difficult for an active spirit. Hands off! "

" My principle anguish and source of all my joys and sorrows from my youth onward has been the incessant, merciless battle between the spirit and the flesh......and my soul is the arena where these two have clashed and met ."

"Unconditional love extents to all souls. Loving everyone does not imply having sexual contact. As most of us have intuitively learned, sexuality best serves our spiritual evolution within a single, commited relationship. We can express nonexclusive love to friends, acquaintances, and other members of our human family without threatening the sanctity of our primary relationship, which remains the exclusive domain of sexual intimacy. "

- Dan Millman
